[close] Intimate look into Michelle’s entire life. Highly recommend Audible version as a companion b/c Michelle narrates her own story, and that made me feel even “closer” to her and her family. Not overly political. Just about her life & learning how to live w/a politician/President & how it affected all of their lives both good and bad.

What can I say about this book? It was absolute perfection. I am so glad that Michelle Obama allowed us to have a peek into her life. I really enjoyed her writing and listened to the audio as well, since it was narrated by her. It was great to read about the south side as she grew up on it, which was different by the time I grew up near there. It was so sweet to hear about how her and Barack met and fell in love, about the start of their family and about their transition into politics. Such an e ...more

I gave the book only three stars because I felt like I already knew most of the things in the book. There were no real surprises. The writing is good and of course I admire Mrs. Obama so I would recommend this book, I was just disappointed that most of the stories were pretty well known.
