[close] Intimate look into Michelle’s entire life. Highly recommend Audible version as a companion b/c Michelle narrates her own story, and that made me feel even “closer” to her and her family. Not overly political. Just about her life & learning how to live w/a politician/President & how it affected all of their lives both good and bad.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of politics. Also, I don't read a lot of nonfiction. So...this book was definitely out of my usual comfort zone. That being said, I have the utmost respect for Michelle Obama. She is intelligent, thoughtful, and inspiring. She speaks in the book of having to "earn [her] grace". I think she has more than enough of it. Though there were certainly slow spots that didn't intrigue me (I'm not into the details of campaigning, for example), she presents a ...more

I listened to the book in Mrs. Obama's voice. I think that made it even more meaningful to me. I have great admiration for the Obamas after this. Just a terrific book and, if you can listen to it, do so. Even better. ...more
