"It's not you, it's me." I know this book is good but can't get into it, so I'm giving up and hanging it next to Dracula and Pride and Prejudice on my wall of can't-finish-it personal shame.

I found the premise of this book rather difficult to handle. Specifically, who is Breq, exactly, and what is the relationship between her and the ship she used to be? Surprisingly, that confusion didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the book in the way it might have. I think that's because the plot was so complex, and it was so easy to identify with Breq as she tried to deal with the situations she found herself in.
