This series is just so fantastic. So much so, that when I received the latest release, I warned my family that I will only be available for the occasional meal and threatened death if I was interrupted whilst reading my new book.

The men in Charley’s life are trying to boss her around. Someone from Reye’s past has asked Charley to do some investigative work for him and Reye’s has ordered her to ‘Drop the case, Dutch’. Ubie is in a grumpy mood and has told Charley to stay at home or he will arres

Charley is a great main character. Still loving this series, is fun, crazy and full of great madcap paranormal adventure.

Although I enjoyed this book the first 3/4 of the book really didn't move the overall plot along at all. It seemed like a lot of filler until we got to the very end and then ARGH - huge cliffhanger. This is two in a row that were like that. I'm not sure I'll keep buying them if they continue on in this vein. I will probably wait and borrow them from the library. I love Charley and Reyes but I'm ready for the overall plot to move forward and for Charley and Reye's relationship to grow. I was hope ...more

I love Charley and Reyes and Cookie and UB and Amber....LOL! (I would like a Reyes of my own.) So, my opinion/rating of the books is probably skewed. The "quotes/sayings" an the start of each chapter are still great to me. I love Charley's snarky wit and the banter between her and Reyes...but I would like to see them mature more as a couple! The whole god thing is a little out there for me, but I'm willing to tough it out to see where the story goes.

This book to me picked up the pace a bit, as t

I am actually getting anxiety because I know I am close to the end of the series. I do not want it to end. I love this series and I love Darynda Jones' style of writing. I guess I will have to find a new series soon, but I want this one to go on forever. :( I love the sarcasm and the haphazard characters. Time to start reading number twelve and maybe cry a little when its all over. All good things must come to an end. ...more
