This is a very good addition to the series.

The previous book ends with quite a drama. This one begins about two months later when Charley tries to deal with her memories and go on with her life. She gets a new case of a woman that somebody tries to kill since she was a child. And she finally talks with Reyes about some important issues.

I liked this book a lot, I think I have enjoyed it more then the previous one. One thing is that there is lot of Reyes in the story, he appears all the time and h

#4 in the Charley Davidson series

I'd rate this one 4.5 stars. There was plenty of action, some romance, and lots of laughs. Charley is recovering from her incident with Earl Walker, having hidden from life for a couple of months. But when a case comes up, she is ready to get back into the swing again, helping a woman who has been harassed since childhood. Things about her skills become more clear, and we learn more about her history from Reyes. Familiar characters are revisited--Cookie and Amber

I sat watching the Buy From Home Channel with my dead aunt Lillian and wondered what my life would've been like had I not just eaten an entire carton of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy with a mocha chaser.
Grim Reaper, Charley Davidson, has been holed up on her apartment for two months following the horrors that occurred in the last book. She has filled the space with things from home shopping channels. It takes a new case to get her out of the house. Harper Lowell thinks someone is trying to kil

I'm getting past Charley's sense of humor and I have to admit that some of her snarky-ness is starting to rub off on me. I'm not so annoyed with it anymore. Charley is trying to help a woman named Harper who says she is being stalked and has been for most of her life. Someone keeps leaving dead white rabbits in her house. No one in her family believes her and she has been seeking therapy at her family's request. However, something doesn't feel right so she decides to hire Charley. Charley has be ...more

I listened to the audiobook version of this book, and so my review is a combination of both Darynda Jones' writing as well as Lorelei King's narration.

So far, I have listened to the audiobook of all the Charley Davidson series, and I plan to continue with the audiobooks.

I think the story itself is interesting enough to keep my interest and keep me wanting to continue on, but it's not quite good enough to bump up to my "favorites" shelf. I think Darynda J

I can't say enough of how much in love I am with Charlotte "Charley" Davidson. There are not many heroines who can be both kickass, fun, and funny as hell all at the same time.

This story picks up a couple of month after the last (view spoiler)

At this point she is not her usual fearless self, which is understandable after the events in the last book, and also because of that she and Reyes are on the o

These books are like popcorn movies - enjoyable but forgettable. It had only been 5 months since I read the last one and I had totally forgotten a couple major plot points that were quickly brought to my attention. This one is about her recovery from the events of the previous book, a case where a woman has been gaslighted since she was a kid and bank robberies.

Charley's humor is hit and miss for me. Some of it is cute and sometimes I think she should act like an adult. I'm not sure I could forg

Holy cr*p! There was A LOT going on in this installment! I love that we now know quite a bit more about Charley and her origins. Hopefully the information she received was true and not a lie! The case Charley was working on was interesting and had some unexpected twists I did not see coming...at...all! Charley, herself, is a complex character, but I am very much appreciating how layered the other characters in this series are, as well.
