Rosaline (Rosaline's Rolls & Scrolls)
My rating for this book must be taken with a grain of salt.

This was my first Urban Fantasy which I read ages ago. Back when I loved vampires, still had a thing for Spike, and enjoyed tortured heroines and hot males who crashed into their lives and turned their world upside-down.

I absolutely adored Cat, don't know if I would now, but I did back then. And Spike Bones was an intimidating, hot male with an attractive accent and a dirty mouth. How could I not love him?

And that's why I don't want to e

It's been awhile since I've read a good urban fantasy like this one. I can't believe I waited so long to read this! This was really fast paced, I couldn't put it down. I don't think it gets any more perfect than Cat and Bones, I love them so much. They are so hilarious, especially Bones. I'll be binging the rest of this series really soon ...more

I have been looking for another series to get into since I finished the other two I was reading. I think I have found it. I love the main character so far. She is witty, sarcastic, stubborn and at times vulnerable. All of which make for a great story as she struggles with who she is and who she wants to be and the misconceptions of who she is being told to be. Great complexity to the characters and story line. I will be immediately starting book 2.

What a wild ride this book is! Catherine "Cat" Crawfield spends her weekends hunting vampires. You see, her mom was date-raped by a vampire and Cat has some vamp blood in her, and her mom has urged her to get revenge on them. She comes across Bones, a sexy vampire in a bar and when she tries to attack him, he gets her first. They come to an agreement that Cat will help him, as they are on the same mission. Through Bones she learns a lot about vampire culture and abilities, including not all of t ...more

I love Cat & Bones! Cat is a small town girl who happens to be half-vampire, much to her mother's chagrin. She hunts vampires as a way to atone for her sin of birth and has a kill-now-ask-questions-never attitude to these evil creatures....Then she meets Bones. He's funny, smart, and sexy, and is a bounty hunter of vampires. The attraction is instant for both, though Cat fights it. But when she finally accepts who she is and what she wants....watch out world! These two are on the hunt! Can't wai ...more

I could suspend my disbelief for the vampire story line, but the romance seemed rushed and fake to me. I also hated the ending, so I have to read more in the hopes that the relationships (all of them) improve for the people and the creatures that are left alive. I rated this three stars because it was good enough that I want to read more, but there are better paranormal romance series out there.
