This series starter blew me away!
I recently listened to Reckoning, the prequel featuring Bones, and I really enjoyed it. This one was even better! I absolutely love Catherine “Cat” Crawfield, the half-breed offspring of a vampire father and human mother. I am so tired of idiot heroines.
I listened to this book the first time and I'm not a fan of audiobooks. I'm really not a fan of calling an adult woman "Kitten" as a nickname. And when it is done by an American woman using a fake, "sexy" male British voice, it is worse. So very much worse.
My audiobook prejudice meant I would give the second book a shot. However, to my surprise when I started reading it, I had no idea what was going on. Turns out, I slept through at least the last 50 pages and di ...more
