Halfway to the Grave is my first full-on paranormal romance and I really, really enjoyed it! It was in first person POV, which is not something I usually like in romances, but here it works and didn't bother me too much. I feel like we're told enough about what Bones is feeling through her observations, that he's not closed off or inaccessible by any means. In fact, Bones is one of the most delicious heroes ever!! Though at first I was always torn between picturing Emily Deschanel or walking ske

I loved it. That's almost all that I need to say really. Right from the first page of this book I loved it. Cat was brilliant, and even her hangups were realistic. And Bones was probably my favourite vampire character that I have come across in my reading so far. I think I loved the fact that he was British (or sort of 'Australian', having been turned when he was a convict. Although his British accent and mannerisms didn't always ring completely true (being British Australian myself), they were

I thought this was a great start to the series. I had previously tried to read a short story from this series that takes place several books from now and I couldn't get into it, but now I'm a total fan of the series and can't wait to read more. I was pleasantly surprised at the action and adventure contained in this series as much as I was pleased with the romance aspect as well. I do worry that because the relationship between Cat and Bones advanced super quickly that it may get boring faster t

At first I was a little dismayed with the way this book ended, I usually prefer my romance with a nicely tied up happily ever after, but then I remembered a movie I watched the other night. It was Taken with Liam Neesan and, although I enjoyed the movie (not the best I've seen, but not a total waste of 2 hours either), I was really annoyed with the ending. After destroying a large chunk of Europe, leaving dead bodies everywhere including very rich and influential people, and shooting an innocent

WooHoo!! I love it when I discover a series that is all out!!! I can not wait to dive into these. This is going to be delicious entertainment for the rest of the week.
Cat is a totally kick butt chick! She takes not crap from anybody! Love all her snark and sass. She is easily up there with all my favorite UF heroines. She has a hard road because of her family, but she does not let it get her down. It takes her a while to accept herself, tha ...more

Since she was 16 Cat has been kicking and killing vampire butt. Cat herself is a product of a vampire rape of a human, so she is a half-bred.
Now at 22 she is still kicking vampire butt, she has met her match (in more ways than one) in Bones.
He quickly throws her off her game and she finds herself captured, and then working with and being taught by him.
I loved every second of their interactions, often funny, sometimes romantic, all times real. He was so open with her, after their initial meeting ...more
