Four years have passed since the events that took place in the first book. Cat is trying, in vain, to move on with her life w/o Bones. Soon as she starts dating, what happens? Bones is right back in the picture, in the most least expected place possible. And this time he has no plans of letting her go. The thing is, she doing really want to get away.

I liked the story a lot. But I listened to it on audio and hated the voice the narrator used for Bones. He sounded more like an female prostitute or elder housekeeper from a Regency than he did a sexy male vampire. I'll be getting the rest in print. Also I liked how I could follow this easily without having read the first book.

#2 in the Night Huntress paranormal series
What I like about this series is that Frost is able to combine the weirdness of vampires and ghouls and their lifestyle into a sort-of regular romance between Cat and Bones. IMO (and probably in many other's) the best part of the Night Huntress series is the hero, Bones, and One Foot in the Grave was no exception. My rating of the first two books has been heavily influenced by his role in them. Sometimes Cat can be a little too much, but Bones is a good counterpart to her. He's alpha but not to the point where the H/h are always butting heads, he's willing to compromise and, although he's not perfect, he's both so sweet and sexy that you don't care about his flaws.

I did not care for the first half of the book, I felt like she rushed through it all just to get to Bones. Once Bones was back in the picture, then the story got a lot better. However, I think I missed a novella out there somewhere in some anthology so maybe that will make explain a lot of what happened during the rush part. I will definately check out the anthology before I go to book #3. All in all, I liked this book. The Bones bondage scene was pretty hot! I think he might be my first "book b
