I can't really enjoy a book when I dislike the main character so much that I spend the entire novel hoping the shifters get together and rip her to pieces. Yup, that's my position on Anita. Can't say I like Richard or Jean-Claude any more than I like her and the new guard doesn't strike me as any more interesting than the old.
