Wow! I really enjoyed listening to I Liked My Life by debut author Abby Fabiaschi. The mother, Maddy, is a ghost...dead after an apparent suicide. She lingers to help Eve (daughter) and Rory (husband) move on in life and more specifically to help Rory find a wife to help them move ahead. It wasn't so much a typical ghost story in that Maddy instills thoughts into their minds in a way that is true to her earthly style. I loved this book! When Maddy dies her family is left wondering what happened - they didn't think she was depressed, there were no signs she was unhappy, how could she leave her husband and kid like that? As her husband, Brady, and daughter, Eve, try to come to terms with Maddy's death and find their way in a life without her, Maddy finds ways to let them know she's not completely gone. Excellent portrayal of what happens to those left behind when someone dies. Loved the real and awkward nature of it all.
