I am a huge fan of this author. This particular novel came at a good time for me to read - and I was not looking for much from it other than to feel good while reading it. She's 60' her career is in decline, she is experiencing serious money issues, and her old life has all but left her. Good grief! Does this woman (the protagonist) ever stop complaining?!? Is there no one, not one single person ever in her life that does not treat her badly, abuse her, disappoint her, not live up to her expectations?!? Is there nothing or no one in her life that she is unable to find fault, usually multiple faults, with?!? Does she every stop moaning and groaning, and fault finding, and complaining?!?
