J'ai adoré le pitch de base, forcément, avec un combo Écosse/Highlands et amour des livres, je ne pouvais que craquer pour ce scénario.

I really really enjoyed this book in the beginning. But I didn't need the romance aspect. I connected with the main character, Nina on so many levels. And the author did a very good job of pulling me into the story right from the beginning.

This book took place in Scotland with a woman named Nina who loses her job as a librarian. She decides to venture out and creates a bookmobile because she loves books and everything about them.

Meh. The book started not terribly, with a decent brain-candy vibe. But, it devolved into poorly-written harlequin romance and so I can't even round up to three stars.

I'm glad I can return this one to the library. I don't think I will be looking up other work by this author.

Such potential! Eighty percent of this novel was charming and delightful and just the adventure I was dreaming of for this reading experience. However, it bottomed out with explicit nude and sex scenes that were wholly inappropriate and unnecessary. Those scenes spoiled this entire book for me, and they cheapened the romance too, which had, prior to that intrusion, been of the sweeping, utterly sweet variety.
