Thomas finds himself in a Box with no memory except his name. He is pulled from the Box into the Glade and finds himself the newest of 50 boys who have arrived here similarly one a month over the last 2 years. The Glade is in the middle of a giant Maze with roaming monsters called Grievers. Instead of being told this when he arrives he is put off and gets the info piecemeal. A popular series and this book is being made into a movie. So I wanted to find out what it was all about.

Dystopian fight for survival not dissimilar to the Hunger Games which has become the standard of measure.

It doesn't stand alone. There's too many mysteries and unknowns to be discovered still.

Note: I've read the series now and do not feel that the time investment is worth the read. The final denouement falls flat as you wonder why they didn't get to that point sooner. But then there wouldn
