This was absolutely beautiful. Kristin Hannah is officially one of my favorite authors. Between this and The Great Alone she has made me shed a ton of tears.

One of the best I have read in a long time. I cried but was still so happy at the end of the book. The World War II novels have been saturating the market but this is by far the best one I have read in that genre. Worth the read and the tissues.
What a great book showing the strength of women in an absolute devastating time. A true page turner until the last page. I would love a sequel to fill in the large gap after the war and till 1995 when the book starts out
One of my all time favorite books!! You never forget the characters in this book or the story! This book made me cry and very few do.
