First off I always have a hard time rating a contemporary romance. They are one of my favourite genres, but you had to admit they are pretty predictable. Does that mean they should at the most get 4 stars? Does a cute, predictable, romance deserve 5 stars?? Hmmm.. good question I'm still not sure myself.

I loved this book! It had me right from the first page, and if I hadn't been busy chasing after my two boys and spending time with my family, I think I would have read it cover to cover in one si

It was very hard to force myself to finish this book. The main thing that irritated me was how completely controlling Ty Porter was. He forced Celia to accept the car and house and a few other things he bought her and/or her daughter without her permission, which also forced her to move clear across the country. Everything about this guy gave me the creeps and made me hope Celia would run for the hills. I never can root for a controlling character, but it's easier to read them

I suggested this book for my library's ebook collection on a whim, not sure if I'd spend the money on it myself. This week, I got an email saying they'd purchased the title and I could check it out at any time. I'd read the whole thing within the next four hours! Solid 4.5 stars. After reading Undeniably Yours, I wasn't too sure what I'd think about Meant To Be Mine; because, while I liked that book, I didn't love it. Thankfully, Meant To Be Mine was so much better than I had anticipated and I ended up loving it!

I felt for Celia right away (literally, after chapter two...) and disliked Ty for the way he treated her. However, as the story

Had I not had to sleep and work, I'd have read this in less than a 24-hour period. I couldn't put it down. It made me quite emotional because I really felt for the main character, Celia. She had been wronged in an awful way, and I wanted her to make Ty pay even more so than she did. Because he's cocky. Conceited. Inconsiderate. But despite all of that, you fell in love with him anyway. Dang his charm! It's ridiculous how a woman can so easily be persuaded by a man and his sweet talk...it happens ...more
