This was a really good story. There were so many emotions, fear, sadness,humor, love,craziness and just plain weird. I don't know what you would call someone who can talk to the dead and I don't think I would want to be in Odd's shoes because it's too much work trying to help so many people and also your love ones too.

“I hate violence. I hate injustice even more. I just want to be a fry cook, but the world demands more from me than eggs and pancakes.” That sums up Odd Thomas in one sentence. He’s a short order cook who just happens to see dead people.

I’ve read Dean Koontz before and have to say I was disappointed in his writing style here. This book follows the typical genre fiction outline so if that’s your thing you should enjoy it. I found it hard to really get into and even the climax was half interestin ...more
