Dystopian fiction normally, is a Writer's pleasure, not a reader's pleasure. We get to know this fact if we truly understand why writers are obsessed with a Dystopian world, which i did after "Anthem" by Ayn Rand (and some research). However, despite knowing this, 1984 was surprisingly captivating and held my interest till the end. I can only imagine how exciting this book would be to a person who is oblivious about the psychology of a writer. Oblivion is sometimes good....1984 is a must read! ...more
