Wow. Just wow.
Even a few days later I cannot think of anything to say that can properly explain this novel.
It was amazing.
Depressing and uplifting at the same time.
It gave us a stark view into life in North Korea.
Go read it and jump into it with no expectations or preconceived notions.

North Korean conscripted narrator naively goes from one adventure to another. Picked this novel up several times, and kept giving t the benefit of the doubt as it did win the Pulitzer. It just couldn't compel me to read another page.
