What Members Thought
I enjoyed this book, the turmoil and issues around the protagonist, etc. - good story overall and well written. A few things fell flat now and then: the end felt too pat, the transformation into a man felt a little silly or insincere (i.e. the overall appearance, the immediacy w/out apparently any transitional physical/fashion issues, something seemed to be lacking in the general depiction of gender transition, etc).

I can't wait until enough time passes so I can read Middlesex again. Note: With nothing really going on, my sister dug out her copy of Middlesex and I dove right in. Took me a week and I enjoyed it as much, if not more, than I did the first time in '07.

Fatastic view of a subject that people try to avoid... very powerful.
