I can sooo tell that Derek + Chloe = ♥. But, didn't everyone already know that she would fall for him and vice versa? I own both the Summoning and the Reckoning, but THIS is the one I don't have! This trilogy is one of my absolute favs, when I got this book from the library I finished it within 1 day-as well as the other two! And, another plus of these books- Kelley always makes them serious with the perfect dose of humour.

This book developed character relationships a lot more. Chloe and Derek are adorable!! Simon bugs but all that aside... the plot thickens. Suddenly we get to view their problems and powers (especially Chloe's) from the perspective of the real world outside of Lyle House. The humor is still there and the romance aspect is definately becoming more prominant, but the characters are being forced into a more cautious, adult state of being.

3.5 Stars but I did enjoy it just not as much as I did The Summoning.
