Miranda Brooks had a happy relationship with her uncle Billy until her twelfth birthday. He always had scavenger hunts and riddle games to play with her. Then he and her mother had an argument and she never saw Billy again. When Miranda is 27, Billy dies and has a book sent to her with a clue to a final scavenger hunt while also leaving her his bookstore, Prospero Books.
