M'kay, I am very conflicted right now. I loved du Maurier's writing style and how masterfully she managed to keep the suspense going, but I absolutely hated the characters and thought that after much build up the twists were kind of disappointing.

This is not a romance, but an exploration of insecurity, and jealousy. The Hitchcock movie is good but it doesn't really capture the nuance of the novel. definitely worth reading.
