the only thing dumber than the popular critiques of this are the popular defenses that prove nobody can read at a 50s level anymore and have to distill everything down to one note to comprehend it. "Ummm actually it's ABOUT ____" well no it's a work of art, it explores several themes, it's a peek inside a mind, it's an experience, it's a book.....

A great novel. Definitively deserves its' reputation as one of the best American novels of the 20th century.
