Well, I'm disappointed to say I didn't love this book like everyone else seems to. Maybe it wasn't the right time for me to read it...
This book tells of a summer in the life of a 13 year old boy in small town Illinois in 1928. It felt very autobiographical to me, though I have no idea if it actually is. It also has some elements of magical realism, which isn't my favorite genre.

An enjoyable book that evokes a time when the world was bigger and a small town could be it's on world full of mysteries and magic.
