This book was a wonderful surprise and I listened to the entire thing in one day. I couldn't stop listening. Here is the thing about me, as a reader: I dislike science fiction. So, I was a bit worried when it was chosen as a BOTM by one of my groups. But, this book was wonderful.

Powerful novel.

My favorite quote one of many but this one tops the list. In Kindred Octavia Butler has designed her own Underground Railroad between past and present whose terminus is the reawakened imagination of the reader!
My first book in reading black authors for black history month challenge.
