My first Atwood. I was very excited to dive into this seeing as how her books have been on my list for ages.

An interesting tale, fairly literary, and benefiting from a woman's touch. "Alias Grace" is the story of Grace Marks, a notorious killer in Canada during the early 1800s, who was sentenced to life imprisonment while her male counterpart hung, and suffered from several bouts of insanity. I bought Alias Grace about two years ago (for a dollar at a library sale...Those rock!) and have been putting it off ever since. I've heard from a few people that while Margaret Atwood is an amazing writer, her books weren't really page-turners. And, somewhat unfortunately, I almost always go towards page-turners in my pleasure reading. But I decided to read it because it has been on my bookshelf for much longer than it should've been.
