Fabulous! I can't believe this is only the second Daphne du Maurier novel I've read. She is a master. Between the two books, Rebecca is still my favorite (can that book be beaten? I doubt it.), but My Cousin Rachel is really incredible as well. It is beautifully written, and like Rebecca, has beautiful imagery that mimics the subtle suspense of the plot. Du Maurier truly writes the most lyrical, plot-twisting mysteries, and I can't wait to read another. ...more

Ridiculously good!

This is my first experience with Daphne du Maurier's writing, and /wow/. I waited far too long.

Philip, the ultimate prat...I won't go into details because spoilers galore, but I could not believe the ending. Selfish until the very end. The audio narration for this book was excellent. ...more
