Another book that had sat unread on my shelf for ages (in this instance, 35 years) before I finally picked it up thanks to a challenge or group read here on GR.

I loved the cool irony with which Wharton described her characters and their flaws. Although this detachment did lead to my not really caring about what happened to Lily, I thought it was a great book all the same.
