I'm very happy finally to have read Mrs. Dalloway. I've resisted it for a long time because I was intimidated by the stream-of-consciousness style of Virginia Woolf's writing style, but listening to the audiobook, I was able to avoid getting too mired in the writing or getting distracted by the lack of dialogue.

I will say this first: I liked To the Lighthouse much better. Also, I made the mistake of reading the jacket first so I had an idea of the plot, which is always a mistake with Woolf, because it's really more about the experience and the flow of the writing than what is actually happening.
I still haven't quite made up my mind about Woolf's writing. I like many things about it, but I think I need to read more of her works. ...more
