One of those books where you already somehow know the plot without ever reading it. I'm glad I did finally read it. Stevenson has some brilliant and lovely descriptions. The concept of man trying to dismantle his innate duality is brilliant. A classic worth it's reputation.

I listened to the free audiobook on Audible, and it was excellent.
What a wonderful surprise this book is. I wasn't expecting the themes to resonate so beautifully with me. Stevenson's commentary of good versus evil, the duality of man, societal conformity, friendship, faith in one another and hope are all so well-done and moving.
Most of us have an idea about this story, but I think if you read this slim volume you would find moments with such intense insight that you would b ...more
