I love Jane Austen, though P&P will always be my favorite book, this one is delightful, too. Marianne does frustrate me at first and I find Colonel Brandon's love for her a little strange, still it's a wonderful story. Elinore is one of my favorite literary heroines. Don't just watch the movie - read the book!

Rereading this for the I-don't-know-how-many times, I'm hit by how this story shows the limitations on the men in the book, not just the women. They almost all have been or will be restrict

To much drama for me. Being truthful to self and others will solve a lot of problems and save self troubles.

I loved the narrative but I didn't love the parts where the contemplate everything and the first 50 pages or so were very hard to get through. Once you're past them and get in the narrative it is a lovely book. ...more
