I remember one VC Andrews fan describing this book as the most useless and pointless of all the prequel books and I have to agree. In all the other prequels we either learn something new about the story or there's some twist. This book is exactly how it was laid out in Ruby and the only mystery was why did Gabriel change the spelling of her name which was Gabrielle in the earlier books. I enjoyed this book but gave a four star rating rather than a five star rating as it was a prequel rather than a continuation of the Landry Series. Due to this I was less inclined to power through the book like I had with the previous four books. This was because I knew the main events in this book through reading the past four books. It was good to fill in the gaps like how Gabriel survived her first pregnancy and how she became pregnant. It was also good to read about Gabriel's life in the bay ...more
