Yet Carswell Thorne, when given a chance to explain, always had a reason. A good reason. A heart-stopping, pulse-racing, awe-inspiring reason. Like the sun rising over Earth’s horizon, her perception began to change. Carswell Thorne wasn’t a heartless scoundrel at all. If anyone bothered to get to know him, they would see that he was compassionate and chivalrous. He was exactly the kind of hero Cress had been dreaming about her entire life.

Okay, this series just gets better with every book that is included in the series. I loved Cinder and then scarlet topped it and then Cress blew me out the water. I love all the multiple perspectives that we now have in this book and I love how all the characters have developed and changed with certain situations that have happened to them. I have got to say that Thorne and Cress are my favorite twosome in this book. This book was filled with well so much more since it was double the size of the

Easley I can say that Cress is my favorite one of the lunar chronicles maybe because Rapunzel is my second favorite fairytale ... it kept me holding my breath all the reading process and I became attached to all the amazing characters Marissa had created ... can't wait for Winter to be released ..

If it wasn't for the front cover I would have no idea that this was a retelling of Rapunzel. I may be incorrect but I think that rapunzel was a type of watercress in the original tale. Again, I'm not sure which is why I wasn't certain if this really was a retelling.
Anyway, Cress is a shell whose parents left her to die. Instead she has been saved by the Queen (*cough*evil*cough*) and is now a skilled hacker. Cinder and her gang plan on rescuing Cress but things don't go as planned.

It's okay, however the second book, Scarlet, was way better. Cress is not really a very exciting character and I found myself skipping over pages. I guess she improved a bit towards the end (just barely). The story, in particular, was rather monotonous in the middle part. I wish the author added more dramatic scenes and sparkling verbal battles to liven things up.

After finishing Scarlet I couldn’t wait to get started with Cress. I couldn’t wait to see where this next instalment would take Cinder, Thorne, Scarlet and Wolf.
As the title would suggest we are finally properly introduced to Cress, an extraordinary programmer and hacker. Being kept in a satellite around earth by Queen Levana’s head thaumaturge Sybil Mira, she has been isolated all her life.
But Cress is no pushover. She convinces Cinder an ...more

After Finishing the Book:
Fuck. I need the next one.
Of course, just like all of Marissa Meyer's other books, this one was incredibly amazing!
I just have to discuss how much I love Cress. She's super smart, great with computers, and really awkward around people. But then again, that's what's going to happen when you've been locked in a satellite for a good chunk of your life. I also have to say that she's just like us, a huge fangi ...more

the tale keeps on spinning with the addition of Crescent Moon aka Cress who has been isolated on a satellite in between the Earth and Luna. She has been tracking the Emperor, monitoring security feeds, and generally spying. she hopes that one day Sybil, one of the Queen's lackeys, will let her free if she helps them enough. No matter what she does; it is never enough. She tracks Cinder down and starts researching a handsome pilot, Carswell Thorne, from her crew. She hides the ship from everyone

A dazzling read!
Even in the future, there are damsels in distress...
Oh my heart! Emotionally charging read with some strong compelling characters.
Intense read and with the clock running out, it makes it all the more intense and dramatic.
This book is so perfect and I love how everything is coming together.
Full of androids, plague, cyborgs, Lunar, gifts, secrets, betrayal, freedom, duty and attraction.
Perfect for readers of sci-fi/fairytale retellings.
