I feel as though I read a different book to the rest of the reviewers. 'Romancing Mr Bridgerton' started out well enough with Penelope having been in love with Colin for years, but never getting past good friend status, but it never delivered on the early promise. As Colin gradually comes to realise he loves Penelope (in the first third of the book), they kiss and each likes the other but minor problems are strewn in their path - the tension dissipates and I was left...well frankly, bored.

Colin and Penelope’s story that I was really looking forward to. Most of the story is great except for their engagement ball. Penelope did something that I was really surprised at and didn’t fit into them being a couple. I would have felt as betrayed as Colin did, even thought he was a bit heavy handed about it.

3rd Read (May 20-23,2024): UK 2006 Paperback Edition 4-Stars , mood read ata eto.. i enjoyed this time around than 2 yrs ago. Have not watched the series yet, ayaw ko pa mabwisit 😂
