A decent start to the series although, truth be told, I thought it would be better given the popularity of this series. I like Jackson Crow, though I don't feel that I know enough about the rest of the crew.

Read book #2 in series before #1, was confused for a few minutes but caught on pretty quick. You don't have to read these in order to get the excellent story that Heather Graham has written. It's set in New Orleans in the Garden District and a "crew" of paranormal investigators get together one by one. None of them know each other & each one of them has a different ability. If you like brain twisters, this is the one to read. The book is thrilling, absorbing and tantalizing to keep you glued to the pages to the end. My guess and wishful thinking is that there will be spinoff books with this group again, for sure something exciting to follow.
