Imagine living in a world where Love is a disease called Deliria. Imagine having a procedure that will cure before the Deliria take control of you. Imagine not being able to love, at all. That is the world that Lauren Oliver has created in her fascinating book, Delirium.
In the beginning of the book we meet Lena, who is a very headstrong young lady. Life definitely has not been easy for Lena. She has believed all her life that love is something to be terrified of, and that it can kill you if you ...more

I think I can pretty much say that I adore Lauren Oliver’s writing. First, Before I Fall and now Delirium. I need to read the sequel like yesterday. To me, Oliver has a very poetic style of writing. I don’t know if that’s the right word, but it flows so well and it is somewhat elegant. Plus, both of her books that I have read were emotionally heavy. They sat with me for a very long time.
I also enjoy that Oliver really tries to have all of her characters have flaws. It can get kind of tiring read ...more

The society in Delirium have taken the song, "Crazy little thing called Love" quite literally, and they have named it a disease to be eradicated. Now called, Deliria, everyone in the society is to undergo the treatment so you'll never have to be inflicted with the disease. And afterwards, everything will be fine - no pain, promised happiness, and controlled life.

Alright, regulators, come and lock me up: I LOVED this book. Once again, this is a book where all the hype is definitely well-deserved.

She has prepared endlessly for her evaluation, hoping that she will receive a good score and therefore a good pairing. But something happens on the day of her evaluation tha ...more

*Note: I knew nothing about this book when I began reading it and I strongly believe that I had the best reading experience because of that. I experienced everything with full shock value, and that kept my mind reeling. So, if you know nothing about Delirium, stop now. Do not read this review. Do not read any reviews or summaries of the book. Simply go out and buy this book as soon as it hits the book store shelf, and dive in. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! This is a definite MUST READ,
