At first I didn't think I liked Crescendo as much as Hush, Hush, but then it gets moving pretty fast midway through and leaves you with one of the biggest cliffhangers. I kept clicking the 'next page' button to advance but that was it!
Nora and Patch are together again (whether their relationship is you'll have to find out) as Nora discovers some alarming truths about her family and her relationship to the paranormal realm. Vee continues to stick by Nora's side and Marcie has really stepped up h ...more

I'm in a crossroad here: I didn't hate all the book, but I didn't love it either...for me it was ok.
The cover was amazing and inspired me to buy the book because it is a beautiful-intense-buy-me-and-bring-me-home cover. But, Nora is not my favorite character, I wanted to kill Vee with a passion and strangle Patch for the stupidity of being with Marcie. Marcie was the only consistent character throughtout this book...So the book was ok but the final cliff was my undoing...I'll read the last one j ...more

Plot-wise, I felt the second book, Crescendo, true to its title, was more action-packed. I loved the way it sort of eased you into it, instead of just throwing it on you like some bucket of hot water. The tempo is lean, natural, and therefore truly exciting. You can feel a slight difference in tone between the books, where Hush Hush was more diaphanous and smooth, Crescendo is more alert and energetic. I feel they complete one another i ...more

this book is the follow up to hushush which was amazing i fell in love with Patch and his bad-boy ways instantly but Nora was a bit annoying at times. In this book, her and Patch break up like five times and the start making out! Apart from that it was a very good follow up and i even think the plot was better than hush hush as it had more twists and revalations etc x

I found it humorous to see everything from Nora's crazy point of view. There was a little drama overkill but if illogical and careless was the intended character trait for Nora, then the author did a fantastic job. I am a lost on where the 3rd novel will pick up but I am sure it will prove to entertain me none-the-less.
