This was another great journey into the lives of the teenagers at the House of Night. I am in total love with this world. The school is amazing, the characters witty and strong and the second installment in this series I believe is stronger than the first (and I really liked the first one as well!) Come along and learn more about Zoey, Stevie Rae, Erin, Shaunee, Damien, Erik and Aphrodite, along with some other new faces. The friendships are strong still and honor is important among the group of

Of the four books I've read so far in this series (yes, I'm behind in my reviews), I think this one is the best. It lays the foundation for the books to come beyond world building, but also adds to the world we're learning about.
Zoey grows into her new life in this book, strengthening her circle of close friends. Her love life gets even more complicated (how teenage is THAT!), and she starts to understand some of what Nyx has told her about darkness and light. (It's not too surprising - but Zoey ...more

House of Night series is awesome!! I love them. When I am done with one, I can't wait to start the next one.
Zoey Redbird, though romantically challenged, is a very colorful character. You can't wait to see what she will do next. Torn between two loves, she has to also deal with an evil priestess, evil forces and issues not taught in the classroom.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a love story, teen drama with a supernatural flair. ...more

Pretty good read. Totally felt like it was one of those "middle books"- Like with Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. it picked up right where the first left off & then ended with an open door to the next book. Neferet is definitely not my favorite High Priestess, I do not like the development with Stevie Rae's character & Loren kinda left me with a "what is his place in this book?" sort of feeling. Less Heath, more Erik please. :)

I'm continuing to like the story and how the characters develop. I still do not like the adult language, it distracts from the story.
