With electrifying romance, action packed and heart wrenching scenes, Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey series continues to engage me emotionally and leaves me breathless at the end. Her richly developed characters become more vivid, real and stronger as they never falter on their journeys. The Iron Queen deserves more than just 5 stars! This is a phenomenal book with incredible writing and I enjoyed every moment of bein I am so flattered and honored that MM's is quoted in The Iron Queen!

Her richly developed characters become more vivid, real and stronger as they never falter on their journeys. The Iron Queen deserves more than just 5 stars! This is a phenomenal book with incredible writing and I enjoyed every moment of being wrapped up in this story.

Talk about an emotional journey. This is my favorite book out of the series! I didn't think the characters could become any more to life than they already were, but Julie has proven me wrong. The emotions from these characters jump right off the pages and I found myself feeling like I was apart of their journey. With each book in the series the characters continue to become more in-depth, more lively and I feel more connected to them.

Let me just say, I am TEAM ASH all the way! Where I faltered on my team alliances earlier, after really getting to know Ash more and seeing how much his character has grown, I've made up my mind. Meghan and Ash's chemistry sizzles and I'll use a word I seldom use, they have a few swoon worthy scenes. Puck and Ash have some of the best scenes together and had a few laugh out loud moments for me. Grimm is a character who surprised me, as we get to see a different side and know a little bit more about him. Meghan Chase has finally really grown into the fiercely independent, strong character I knew she had the potential for. She has grown the most to me, as she finally has earned the respect of some other characters from the series. She has become a favorite heroine of mine.

A heroine's strength comes from the sacrifices she has to make and Julie does a brilliant job with the more emotional scenes in the book. Julie knows how to blend her action, romance, heart break and humor together well with her characters. I really enjoyed how she introduced the new characters, and allowed me to get to see a little bit into the Iron Court (which has changed how I've felt towards them). I'm really looking forward to getting to know them more with her last book in the series, The Iron Knight! The Iron Queen is everything I hoped it would be and more. I highly recommend picking this book up! It's a fantastic book that I will be reading many more times. ...more

Let's start off by taking a glace back at the first two books. Now, I love the story of the Iron Fey. The first book was like taking a trip down Alice's rabbit hole and discovering you entered a world similar to Wicked Lovely / the Labyrinth, but with Ms. Kawaga's own unique twist. The second book one upped it with a captivating love story between Meaghan and Ash. But I have to say Ms. Kagawa out did herself, blowing them both away in the Iron Queen. Let me just say that this was an amazing book. I think this has to be my favorite of the series so far. I feel as though each book brings me further into this wonderful world that has been created by Julie Kagawa. The ending of this book really tore at my heart strings. I am so anxious to start reading book four. I can't wait to see where our friends Meghan, Ash, and Puck will take us to next. =) ...more

What to say about the Iron Queen??? I really enjoyed it! Beware there are spoiler!
So to begin I have been pleasantly y surprised with Meghan at the beginning of this book. Its likes she revived herself as character. I was so glad when she asked Ash to teach her how to fight. I mean HELLO its book 3 and now you kind of figured out that you need to learn how to protect yourself?? I was also happy with how she handled the oracle as well. She wasn’t offering her any favors for the return of her memo What to say about the Iron Queen??? I really enjoyed it! Beware there are spoiler!

She wasn’t offering her any favors for the return of her memory she was strong in the way she presented herself. Even to Grim she told him how it was “If Leansidhe wants to see her she needs to wait!” I also really enjoyed how sensitive Ash was being at the beginning understanding, helpful, loving. That’s a side that is not shown too often and when it is, it’s quickly taken away with a cold stare. Like I said in my other review for the Iron Daughter, I really like reading Leansidhe, with her now my pet and so on. Only she would turn Meghan’s father into a piano!

Matter of fact Meghan just was so much more likeable throughout the whole series. She stood up for herself no matter who it was. She was smart when she made any negotiation reading each word. I wish this Meghan was available in The Iron Daughter. She had so much confidence in herself that I couldn’t believe she had. Even though a lot of it was because of the Iron glamour she kind of accepted it either way. All the other side characters were great as well. Grim the ever knowing cat was always there to help and mysterious as ever. I mean he’s just so wise and always shows up when needed or sending help. Puck was so funny and heart breaking to read about. I mean you can tell he loves Meghan and yet he still stood aside and helped. I really enjoyed Mab as well. You really saw a different side. Not that she was emotional or sensitive but different side that appealed to me. I have always likes her don’t ask me why but I definitely like her 100x more than Titinia. I also wish Oberon was given a chance, I really like him but unfortunately there was no room for that in this book. I also thought Razor the gremlin was too funny and cute. He reminded me of Donnie from the Wildthornberry’s don’t ask me why but he did.

Now for the false king, I guessed who he could have been at the beginning of the book, but it still was a surprise since I wasn’t a 100% sure. The way she defeated him by sacrificing herself was definitely a ROSE type of move which I loved. Now the ending! I was hoping throughout the novel that there would be a way for Iron and Oldbloods to be able to live together, and I guess the author found the best solution she could. I knew Meghan was going to be queen. Now to the other part of the ending. Poor Ash, doomed to love. I really loved him in this book. I can’t believe they can’t be together. But now I will definitely be waiting for the The Iron Knight which I am sure will be an enjoyable read since Ash & Puck will be journeying together.
This book was definitely better than The Iron Daughter & King. It ended well and gave me enough interest to read the following book.

There were only two things I didn’t understand. So if you read the book leave me a comment if you can explain it. At the end when Meghan is trying to kill Ferrum. She says to him take the iron kin’s power and she fused it with Summer and that’s what killed him right? But I am confused because after he took it she still had the iron kings power and summer. I didn’t really understand how that was possible. So any explanations are much appreciated! Secondly Ironhorse and the rebels were against the False King because he didn’t really wield the power of the iron kingdom, but I still don’t get why they didn’t want him. I mean it’s not like what the false king was hurting them. He was trying to take the Nevernever and poison it with iron which really didn’t affect ironhorse or the rebels. I guess I just didn’t understand or think it was enough reason for them to fight against the The Iron King. But at least they helped in the war.

Wow....I loved every book of this series so much. After finishing this book, I am extremely glad that I waited until I got a chance to read it together with Ash....hThe Iron Knight, or I would be dying now to know what happens next. Now I am very eager to move on and read Summer's Crossing and then Iron Knight.

just started reading the book tonight. i luved the previous story so i know this will be good.. just finished this book today and it was sad i cannot believe th ending.. i knew meghan wasnt going to die but omg the story on her and ash was so sad and i understand why she sent him away she really believe she was going to die but really thought they would come back together after she survived.. but it opens it up for ash story.. i am wondering that is about cannot wait

Wow! I'm so glad this isn't the end of the series. I just can't end this way. This is the first time I have ever read a book in one day, let alone 2 books in one day. I can't wait until October 25th!

Once again, WOW! Knowing what would happen didn't make it any easier. While I shed more tears while reading The Iron Daughter, I was fighting tears more than once while I read this book. Is it October 25th, yet? ...more
