Stolen revisits Clay, Elena, and Jeremy from Bitten. While I really enjoyed Bitten, I found Stolen a little more convoluted. There was too much going on and too many different types of characters/species to keep up with. Sure there were more prominent characters than others, but it was harder to connect and care about any of them with as large a 'cast' as Stolen had.
While the book maintained the edgey vibe of the first book, it wasn't quite as gripping as its predecessor.

Stolen is the second installment in Kelley Armstrong’s supernatural series, Women of the Otherworld. This is a series that I didn’t think I’d like, but quickly fell in love with.
This book starts out with Elena on her way to Pittsburgh to investigate an advertisement for information on werewolves. She has ducked out on Clay so she could handle this solo and to make sure that the pack isn’t in danger of being exposed.

A light, somewhat-witty, mildly sarcastic, half-thriller with a presumably strong, leading female character. A bit of a John Green version of paranormal urban fantasy.
Now, my opinion of this book might be spoiled by some immensely complex, multi-plotted, exciting reads that I'd been through just before getting to this simpler one (hate when that happens!); but I think that it kind of lacked excitement on some levels, especially in the first half. This was a slow starter for me, but then it picked up about midway, and took off! Loved the introduction of the others, that Elena is accepting who she is, and that we were shown a softer side of Clay. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I really liked this book, and the introduction of all the different characters and their powers/talents. Elena and Clay were much more enjoyable in this book, and I thought they were very sweet, yet powerful together. I wasn't thrilled with Elena as much in 'Bitten', but I became a big fan of hers after finishing Stolen.
