Okay, this book is the reason that I had to wait until today to review book #2. I was too busy reading. I can't even. This book, hot freaking damn. The difference between #2 and #3 was HUGE. I really felt like Ms. Ward let the bottom drop out and held back not one inch. The cover should be different. Or made out of cast iron balls and tissues. The best book so far!!!!!! All around this is amazing story. It was touching and heart wrenching. The writing was beautiful and the characters were perfect.Zsadist's past was torturous.
Zsadist has a terrible history of sexual violence, and this book details his recovery.
I cry a lot in this book..
I love him, and that just makes me sad, because everyone treats him like crap and everyone calls him soulless, and no one is smart enough to realize that he actually has a heart and is not some evil ps ...more

Another steamy one from Ward!

I enjoyed this one ever-so-slightly less than its predecessor, Lover Eternal, although I still enjoyed it immensely.

Ahhh! I am another one who has fallen in love with Zsadist!!! In the previous two books he was mysterious, quiet, an observer, and a character who is scarred on the outside, but you know is scarred on the inside as well.

I love how this story pretty much picks up from where the last book ended. Right away there is lots of action as Zsadist, Phury and Vishous deal with a group of lessers. Here we find a very angry Zsadist looking for answers:

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! This story brought me joy and the most excruciating stab my heart, rip it out, stomp on it, beat it for all it's bloody empathy and weakness, leave it and me for dead and then...return it to garner hope and little bits of ecstasy, only to rip it out again and again...over and over and over! I really liked this book in the series. I think this was the first book that got to really get into some character development. The Bella/Z story line is just as heart strumming as the Phury/Z story line. Z was/is continually stamped as damaged, broken and beyond repair by everyone and to have him get pieced back together with the help of everyone really was a page turner for me.

Oh Zsadist.
You stole my heart. Won me over completely. You made me cry. You made me laugh and you made me smile. A lot. I knew you had it in you to be sweet and caring. You made me mad a few times, too, but I understand why you did the things you did.

I didn't think it was possible to fall this much in love with another book-series (my first love was the Twilight saga) but man, how wrong I was.
