Grace and Sam are from two completely different worlds that circle around one another closer and closer from the time they 1st meet 6 years before the present time. Can soulmates be found at first site? What happens when you only have a very sho...rt time with that soulmate before they leave you forever? I loved how Stiefvater used alternating points of view for the two main characters, Grace & Sam. She also included the current temperature outside which seems so bizarre out of context and was w ...more

One of the most unique things about this book is Maggie's take on werewolves. I don't want to give anything away if you haven't read it, but her wolves are so much more than the Hollywood version that you've come to know.

This book was nothing if not awesome. It is a truly romantic love story in the style of Romeo and Juliet: two young people never meant to be together, but defy the odds - and werewolves - to find a solution. The author ignores many stereotypes and makes the wolves her own, and the ending is spectacular. I recommend this book to everyone!

I wasn't totally in love with this book. I really liked the beginning and I liked the end, but the middle seemed a bit slow to me. A few of the characters just seemed like "caricatures" to me. I did generally like the book though and I will be reading the sequel when it comes out. ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. Some things were left up in the air at times, but still a page turner. Love the relationship between Grace and Sam. Hate the way it ended. I wanted to know more.

It dragged in a few spots and it was very much written for high school age. Interesting take on werewolves. Glad that I finally got a chance to read it.

ully written, totally engrossing. Just as captivating a story as LAMENT and BALLAD, Stiefvater is an author to cherish.
