Read this book in 45 minutes!! I really liked it and wish SM would write more books!!

It's been over a year since I've read from the Twilight series, and it was nice jumping back into the world Stephenie Meyer created. I liked getting to know Bree more, and seeing the darker side to the vampires in the Twilight series. It only broke my heart more knowing her out come. I'm not giving anything way by saying that, as most everyone has read the books. If you're going to see Eclipse tonight, and haven't read the books, than you'll soon find out what happens.

It was nice to get a different perspective from the newborn vampire Bree however, I felt that it was flat and not as three dimensional as Stephenie's other characters. I realize that in a novella, you don't have all of the time to develop your characters as you do a regular novel however, I would have written it a little differently. The relationship between Bree and Diego could have been explored a little further instead of focusing so much on the "other" newborns. I found the descriptions of t ...more

As always, I became emotionally attached to Stephenie Meyer's characters. This story was very insightful to the Saga. My feelings toward some characters from the Saga were really intensified for good and bad (ie Carlisle and the Volturi, respectively) Loved it!

Excellent addition to a story close to my heart. It has made me "thirsty" for more from Stephenie. Vampires, aliens or whatever... anything she writes I'll "devour!"

I really did not like this book. I felt it a complete waist of time.
This novella is about Bree, the vampire that was involved in the Eclipse fight, found at the end of the fight and who was killed by the Vulturi.
I found Bree to be flat. There was very little told about how she became a vampire and next to nothing about her life before. There was no information to learn about Bree. And becuase there was no information added to the character, I didn't care about her. I especially didn't care abou

I expected to like Bree; I didn't expect that I would come to like some of the other newborns, nor that I would dislike Riley. It will be interesting to see how my next read-through of Eclipse is colored by this. ...more

Bree's take on the events in Eclipse was interesting. I found the quasi-love story that Stephenie threw in a little annoying, though. I am prefectly capable of reading and enjoying a story without romance, especially a budding romance that was as lame as this one was. This story isn't as good or satisfying as the rest of the Twilight series, but Meyer's writing has improved dramatically from the initial Twilight novel. ...more

Remembered why I like Stephenie Meyer so much--she has a way of weaving a good tale and making you feel invested in her characters. Wish it has been longer and that Bree's "story" had ended differently... ...more
