I finished this book a few days ago and have been dragging my feet in terms of sitting down and actually writing a review and I have to say, this was not my favorite of this series.
After coming out of such a high that was "Ashes of Midnight" in my opinion, I found that Shades of Midnight fell short. I felt the story was so slow in the beginning and it took me a while to actually care for Kade and Alexandra.

I liked this book. The setting in Alaska was different and I enjoyed the relationship between Kade and Alex and learning more about Kade's family. Also, for some reason, every time I envision the Ancients, they look like they should be in the movie Predators.

Read it in 1 day! I'm loving Kade! There were a few parts that were slow. I was also wishing for more alone time between them and more information about what happened after they got back to Boston.
