This book picked up 4 months after Beautiful creatures ended. 4 months after the disaster that was Lena's birthday and the death of her uncle. The story was filled with mystery as we worked to uncover the twists and turns of Lena and Ethan's troubled relationship. This book was so much more for me. More of Ethan's mom and less of the drama centered around school. Ethan's dad was more or less on the road to recovery and Link was more part of the story. This is more like a 4.3 star book. I really liked it, although not quite as much as the first book. This is a wonderful series, and I look forward to the third installment.
