My Review:
I make no bones about how much of an anglophile I am. I also make it clear that I love the Shadowhunter world that Cassandra Clare has built in her series, THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. So, when I heard that the two would collide in her new series, THE INFERNAL DEVICES, I knew that CLOCKWORK ANGEL would be a must read for me.

I was finally able to finish reading this book. I had to stop reading in the middle of the story to read another book that I needed to review immediately. Sometimes I also feel that reading a book on the Nook takes me longer than a actual book. My hardcover of Clockwork Angel is signed my Mrs. Clare and safely put away.

Since I am a huge fan of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments Series, I was so excited to read Clockwork Angel. I was definitely not disappointed. Clockwork Angel is an exciting read full of action, adventure, romance, magic, and even some humor. I thought it was darker than the Mortal Instruments series, but I loved it.

You will love this series if you loved the first

Tessa arrives in London to meet her brother to live with him after her Aunt past away. She's all alone without her brother...She is picked up at the dock by these 2 women who she thought her brother sent for her. She finds herself imprisioned, and learns about a whole other world that exists with her own. She meets Will, who I find is a lot like Jace, who is also a shadowhunter, and goes an quite an adventure.

sebenarnya aku termasuk fans of Cassandra.. tapi kurang greget gimana gitu baca novel nie..

kali nie, cassandra mencoba untuk menggabungkan historical dengan supernatural. adab-adab inggris kuno yang selama nie kita kenal dalam berbagai jenis novel historical yang kita baca, dikolaborasikan dengan adab pemburu bayangan yang tidak bersifat "formal" dan "mengikat" sebagaimana masyarakat Inggris.

kali nie, muncul tokoh utama yang bernama Tessa, seorang warlock (pengubah wujud), yang tidak 3.5 stars..

kali nie, cassandra mencoba untuk menggabungkan historical dengan supernatural. adab-adab inggris kuno yang selama nie kita kenal dalam berbagai jenis novel historical yang kita baca, dikolaborasikan dengan adab pemburu bayangan yang tidak bersifat "formal" dan "mengikat" sebagaimana masyarakat Inggris.

kali nie, muncul tokoh utama yang bernama Tessa, seorang warlock (pengubah wujud), yang tidak memiliki aura iblis didalamnya. mencari kakaknya, yang sumpah banget.. tu bikin kesel banget ya.. penjudi, pemabuk, pembohong, and yang pasti TOLOL nya ga ketulungan deh. hanya demi kekayaan (yang ga mungkin bisa dia jaga and manfaatkan dengan baik), rela untuk menjual adiknya kepada De Quency (sang Lord Vampire).

nah, ga mungkin kan kalau kita ga membandingkan antara pemburu bayangan dalam CoB and yang disini. karakter jace yang cool, rebel, cakep badai, bisa ditemukan di William Herondale. bedanya disini tu, Will lebih keras kepala bangeeeeeettttttt.....
karakter Alec dibedain dengan karakter James. James disini lebih "normal" dibanding Alec yang emang suka ma Jace.

sekarang si cewek tokoh utama. Clary tu lebih "berguna" kekuatannya dibanding Tess, yang disini tu cuma bisa mengubah wujud. ya emang beda sih, yang Clary tu pemburu bayangan, Tessa tu Warlock. karkter Tessa disni juga keras kepala, pintar, baik, as always (sebagaimana kodrat cewek) kadang agak bego juga gara2 ga mempertimbangankan dengan baik.

yang bikin bete tu, mungkin sequel nya kali ya.. AKU BENCI CINTA SEGITIGA !!!!!!!!!!!........
di CoB, kita tahu lah gimana Clary ma Simon, normaaaaalll....kalau bukan gara2 si Jace jadi kakaknya, ga mungkin dia jadian ma Simon
la kalau disini tu, si Tessa ampe hampir ehm..ehm.. ma James, lupa ma Will, bandingin lagi antara Will and James. meskipun james emang oh prince charming, tapi tetep Will dunk.. (aaahhh... maaaf, subjektif nie hehehehe)

and final, ketemu lagi deh ma Magnus Bane.. horeeeeeeeee ...more

This book is amazing. I loved the authentic historical feel to the book. The characters were WONDERFUL!! Will is a great character and somehow even worse than Jace but more likable than Jace. Tessa is a great female lead who shows strength, determination, honor and bravery. But Jem was my favorite. A brave shadowhunter who loves what he does but who also has the ability to be sweet and loving beyond measure. *sigh* I highly reccommend this one!!
