Interesting that she can make a totally uninteresting story interesting.

This is less heavy-hitting than most of the Atwood I've tackled. She hasn't quite grown into her prose style yet, and I prefer later Atwood novels, but this is still a solid read. I'm glad I read it, and I recommend it for Atwood lovers as well as anyone who appreciates a book with a wry sense of humour.

I'd call it more of a 3.5.
