THAT was a stay up all night nail biter!
Detective Ryan is called to a murder scene on an archeological dig site when the body of a 12 year old girl was found. What people on the Dublin Murder Squad do not know, is that when he was a child of the same age, 20 years prior, two of his friends disappeared from the same woods while only he remained but with no memory of events. The beginning of this book was troubling but mainly because the author used too much Dublin slang and I hadn't a clue what she was talking about. After awhile, it settles into a nice depressing story that was like a train wreck you just can't look away from. If you like a story to have a feel good ending, you need to pass this series up as you will definitely not find what you are looking for here.

A psychological thriller with a slight paranormal bent. It draws you in and keeps you under its spell until the last page is turned.
