4 1/2 stars. This book is damn near perfect! It just kept getting better and better as the story progressed. I have read several books that have grabed me this year, but it has been a long time since I liked a book and this feeling changed to loved . I listened to it on audiobook and I think I will have to listen to the last three chapters again - so much happend in them. Man-oh-man! Why don't I have book two ready to listen to? (P.S. See Christina S.'s comment about Bone's voice in the c ...more

This book should come with a warning label: do not read while driving, operating heavy machinery, or on a ten minute break at work! Seriously. When our heroine and her gorgeous vampire beau finally have their big consummation, I was between classes and practically needed a defibrillator before I could face my second-period students.

In fact, that was a problem. Cat and Bones are very endearing, and their passion for each other is contagious. To be blunt (and I usually am!) I wanted a few more Goo

I picked this up due to the many positive comments I read on GRs. I was only 12 pages in and already thinking Cat was a trip. I absolutely love Bones' dry sarcastic wit. It was very funny how it stopped Cat in her tracks.

As a vampire hunter, Cat is ruthless - all vampires are bad so just kill them even before they do anything overtly evil. Bones is one of her attempted takedowns and unfortunately for Cat, he is too quick for her and to sensual to resist. The push and pull between them is excitin

Cat is a self styled vampire killer. And half vampire herself. She is doing pretty well on her own. Then she meets Bones, a vampire, who is a bounty hunter who also kills vampires. He forces her to team up with him. And they both find forces at work that are bigger than they expected.

I like Cat. She is young, brass and determined. But motivated by hate until she learns that all vampires are not the same.

The book was good. I wanted to smack the Sh#$ out of her mother though. A woman who was hurt

I've been on a PNR kick for the past ten days, and I thought this series, which I loved a decade ago when I first read it, merited a reread. I'm glad to say, Ms. Frost still doesn't disappoint.

Half-vampire Cat, and her blinders re: all things vampire, is still a great and kick-ass heroine, who still doesn't know how to react to sexy vamp Bones - who somehow reminds me a lot of Spike from Buffy :)

The pacing and humor are on point, and the ending, although frustrating, just sets up the stage for
